Liam Dunbar is a young hotshot freshman that has dominated the lacrosse field. He showed great skill in all positions on the field. Initially, Scott and Stiles are suspicious of his skills wondering if he is supernatural because of his speed. Liam is the first beta werewolf that Scott created. In order to save him from falling off a building Scott bites him transforming him into a werewolf. At the beginning Liam does not believe Scott and Stiles when they tell him what he is becoming. Eventually he comes around. He has a great amount of rage, called Intermittent Explosive Disorder (IED--a walking time bomb). This caused him to be expelled from his last school when he destroyed his lacrosse coaches car for benching him for the season. Liam becomes a target of assassins when his name is added to the deadpool. He is initially worth 3 million dollars. He becomes an asset to Scott and his friends, fighting with them on a number of occasions. After his fight with the berzerkers, he is traumatized and scared causing him to pull away from Scott. After his fight he is now worth 18 million dollars (this is never revealed why). Through the help of his former enemy, Bret Talbot (revealed to be a werewolf as well, and a target on the Deadpool), he begins to understand how special Scott is and how lucky he is to be in his pack. It is his connection to Scott that helps him break out of the berzerker curse that Kate placed on him. Liam assists in the fight and through this dedication and trust, gives Scott the extra strength that he needed to defeat Peter.
