Mark Andrews, Born in Brighton, England, is a successful independent producer with extensive experience both in and out of the motion picture industry. He has held directorships with a variety of media related companies such as Cobra Media Productions, Adrenalin Films, Official Selection (UK), and Movie Heaven Productions. Prior to becoming a producer he held a variety of positions within the finance industry, positions ranging from risk analyst to management consultant for a number of international banks.Whilst enjoying such a diverse career, Mark became interested in the film industry and was involved in the making of a number of award winning short films. This interest turned into a labour of love with cinema and Mark co-wrote The end of the line in 1994, Executive produced his first feature film, Mainline Run starring Hugo Speer (The Full Monty) in 1995, and, then the independent action thriller Distant Shadow (1998), followed by the road movie comedy Redemption Road (2001). In 2003/4 he was a production executive on films such as Wake of Death, Modigliani, School for Seduction etc.Mark's films have been featured at festivals and film markets around the world from Cannes to Toronto, Venice, Berlin, Cherbourg and Rio de Janeiro, in prominent Film magazines such as 'Total Film', featured in documentaries on Film Four, The Sundance Channel and Associated Press Television Network (APTN) as well as being personally interviewed on the Dutch film show Films & Sterren (AKA Films and Stars).In 1999, Mark set up Movie Heaven Productions to produce feature films for the international market and create investment vehicles for film financing using his combined experience in finance and film production. To ensure a firm foundation for the funding of these projects, Mark founded Studio Finance in 2002, a UK Film tax fund , which utilized the UK Government's Section 48 Tax breaks for film production. He then went on to consult for the UK film-financing group, UK Film Services (UKFS) in 2003/4. With access to more than £1.5 billion in client assets through their holding company Channel House Trustees in Jersey, UKFS was responsible for $340 million of tax shelter funding for the UK film industry.Mark moved to Los Angeles in 2004 to further develop his international relationships, consult on a number of film, television and media company projects, and form other film finance vehicles.Since living in Los Angeles, he has been Vice President of Production and Acquisitions at Regent MB (Now Magnet Media Group), Head of Entertainment for Exemplar Capital and has been advising private clients on film finance and business development in the entertainment industry.In 2010 he formed Mugshot Films where he has developed numerous film projects with notable industry veterans such as re-known horror author 'Clive Barker' of the 'Hellraiser' franchise fame and 'Michael Miner' Co-Creator of the 'RoboCop Franchise', 'Howard Ford' of 'The Dead' Franchise; and set these projects up with numerous film financing and distribution companies such as, Starz Media, Armory Films, The Exchange to name a few.He holds a diploma in business and finance Show less «
